Winter Social: We are hosting our annual Winter Social at the ECM. Join us for a potluck, cookie swap, white elephant gift exchange, and crafting activities. Bringing food for the potluck, cookies for the cookie swap, or a gift for the gift exchange is entirely optional! We appreciate whatever folks feel like bringing, but most importantly, bring yourself!
Community Meetings
Cancelled for January: Monthly Business Meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of the month from 6:00 – 7:00pm. You can join us in person at the Lawrence Public Library Meeting Room A (707 Vermont St, Lawrence, KS 66044) or virtually through Discord*. We discuss upcoming events, group projects, and pitch ideas on how to meet community needs.
Social Events
Board Game Night is hosted at Dragon’s Hoard (1045 Pennsylvania St, Lawrence, KS 66044) from 4:00 – 9:00pm. Gather with your friends or get ready to make new ones as we play cards, roll dice, and share snacks!
QT Teatime Saturdays 9:00-10:00: Rotates locations every meeting. An opportunity for queer and trans folks to meet together and socialize. To find out the next location, join our discord.
Youth Crafternoon It is the first reoccurring event for the Trans Lawrence Youth Coalition. Hosted in the Lawrence Public Library in Meeting Room B from 5:00 – 7:00pm (707 Vermont St, Lawrence, KS 66044). Join TLC Youth and Rainbow Kids and Families for our twice monthly crafting events! Whether you want to paint, draw, work with yarn, or just hang out, Crafternoon has a little bit of everything for everyone! (Parents are preferred but not required to stay the entire time with their child. If you are going to drop your child off, please come check in with the facilitators before leaving.)
Earlybird Karaoke is on the fourth Wednesday of the month hosted at Lucia (1016 Massachusetts St, Lawrence, KS 66044) from 6:00-9:00pm. Get ready to sing your heart out and let your troubles melt away, all before dark (almost)!
Physical Events
Trans & Queer Aerial Silks Class is hosted at The Last Carnival from 6:30 – 7:30pm. This is a space to try a unique sport in a welcoming environment at a discounted price. This event has moved to quarterly. Next one will be March!
Trans Gym Day is back for a workout at BEEF Barbell Club at 7:15pm on January 26th.
Support and Therapy Groups
Trans and Gender Non Conforming (TGNC) Support Group is a social support space for folks aged 18+. This group is hosted weekly from 6:00 – 8:00pm. Please email helptgnclfk@gmail.com for location details.
